A Framework for the Evaluation of an Electronic Marketplace Design with Evolutionary Negotiation Support
نویسنده
چکیده
With the aid of information technology, electronic marketplaces have multiplied. Currently, however, most electronic marketplaces support only limited negotiation functions using a one-dimensional variable of price. The purpose of this study is to show how online multidimensional auction systems can be used to facilitate electronic trading in business-to-business electronic marketplaces. In this paper, we first evaluate the existing electronic marketplaces. Based on this evaluation, the functional requirements for a buyer-centric electronic marketplace are presented. Then, we propose a new multidimensional auction model with evolutionary negotiation support (MAMENS) to be used in the electronic marketplace. Finally, the evaluation framework for the MAMENS is discussed.
